I don't know where the concept of baby witches began. However, I can tell you that for every journey that you embark on, there has to be a beginning. From the research that I've done, I know that there is no book or manual as to how to become a witch. However, there are books and articles in regards to the different types of witchcraft practices that are out there. What I can do for you is give you some pointers. Now I believe that every witch should have healing crystals. As I've said in previous videos, the perfect healing source to start off with is the clear quartz.
Next, start looking for a sacred space in your environment, where you can start practicing witchcraft. Start thinking about altars and how you would want your altar to look like. Also doing some research on altar work, will stem into which spiritual products and spiritual instruments you would want to utilize and which items you'd want on your altar.
Once you start entering altar work, you're bound to step into kitchen magic. Meaning, using different herbs and their magical properties to manifest your intentions. I would say using Palo Santo and using sage as a beginner or baby witch - I don't like even saying baby witch because it's like that's a little bit condescending, however that's the terminology that people are using nowadays to identify witches that are coming into their magic and their energies. So for lack of terminology in this video I’ll say it, but this is a very inclusive online social support group and networking group. I don't want to make anybody feel any type of way calling you a ‘baby witch’ just because you're beginning to embark on your journey. But hey, if you do like the term ‘baby witch’ that's totally cool too- kitchen magic does not only consist of herbs and spices and roots to be utilized with the mortar for a hex. Kitchen magic also consists of different types of oils that you can use (including essential oils) and different kinds of waters (including moon charged water quartz charged water and things of that nature). Basically, it's all about the research that you do and the energy that you put into it. I would also like to add the fact that you should definitely keep a dream journal around you. Dream journals are journals that you write your dreams in. The reason why I say this, is because there are books out there that help you interpret your dreams. So, if you've seen an omen in your dream- you remember that omen- you write about that omen down in the dream journal. Then you can always look up the meaning of that omen in the context of your dream, and then can you cross-reference it with the dream book.
